INTR 4001: Diplomacy and Negotiations (Mr L Benjamin)

This highly relevant and popular unit introduces the student to various aspects of diplomacy both historical and cotemporary. The unit then proceeds to analyse theoretical and practical aspects of international negotiations including case studies of successful and failed negotiations. Students then begin preparing for a simulated international conference on a current and relevant international issue/conflict. Diplomats from foreign countries based in South Africa are sometimes invited as guest speakers and so are SA Diplomats.
