Teaching

The Wits EPU is currently focused on post-graduate supervision, and welcome applications from Masters or PhD students in line with our broad areas of interest. We also conduct short, focused professional development programmes. We have recently piloted a Vocational Education orientation programme (VEOP) with 12 Colleges. Participants were lecturers in Engineering Related; Finance and Economics management; and Hospitality courses. The course was presented in collaboration with lecturers from the school of Education at the University of Witwatersrand as well as the University of Johannesburg. This pilot will contribute toward the policy debates on the FET College lecturer qualification as well as University of Witwatersrand’s position in building capacity in colleges.
