Faculty of Health Sciences does it four times in a row!!!!!

Congratulations to Professor Maureen Coetzee on the award of the prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Research Award – this is particularly pleasing as the Faculty has once again scooped the award, for the fourth time in a row (Professor John Pettifor - 2008; Professor Charles Feldman – 2009; Professor Shabir Madhi - 2010).  Well done, Maureen!  The Faculty is enormously proud of all your achievements.

Congratulations also to Professor Helen Rees on the award of the 2011 Science-for-Society Gold Medal by the Academy of Science of South Africa and to Professor Glenda Gray who was elected to membership of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academies (USA).
