Health Sector Reform The Rights and Reforms Initiative was a Southern initiative led by a group of SRHR advocates from Asia, Africa and Latin America, coordinated by the Women?s Health Project, South Africa, and then by the School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. The initiative aimed to strengthen understanding amongst activists and decision-makers on the role of global social and economic changes and specifically of neo-liberal health sector reforms (HSR) in facilitating or undermining efforts to achieve sexual and reproductive health policies and programmes.

Women s Health Project The Women?s Health Project has been merged into the Gender and Health Division of the School of Public Health. Only specific activities will continue viz. health sector reforms and sexual and reproductive health. Gender and sexual and reproductive rights and health are incorporated into the School of Public Health?s curriculum.
