
The Centre for Health Policy (University of the Witwatersrand) South Africa has been awarded a Chair in Health Policy and Systems within the South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI). The purpose of the award is to attract academic expertise to South Africa. The Centre is currently seeking to identify suitable candidates to nominate for this new post.
The Chair will be a 5 year appointment as either a full professor (renewable for 3 terms) or an associ-ate professor. The appointment could either be at 100% or 50% time allowing the appointee to retain an appointment elsewhere. The accompanying funding includes the costs of post-doctoral fellows, PhD and masters students, as well as other research costs. The successful candidate would be ex-pected to have a considerable track record in health policy and systems research.
