Research Interests

Stella Iacovides has been employed as a lecturer in the School of Physiology at the University of the Witwatersrand since 2008 and has been the co-ordinator of the Bachelor of Science third-year students for the last three years. Stella is currently completing her PhD on pain and sleep in women across the menstrual cycle. Thus far Stella has published a proportion of her PhD data in the prestigious journal “Sleep” . Stella has presented her research at both international and local conferences and has attracted her own funding for her research including a substantial grant from the Carnegie Foundation.
