The School of Therapeutic Sciences is situated within the Faculty of Health Sciences, Medical School at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Vision
The staff, students and partners (professionals and communities which we serve) of the School of Therapeutic Sciences are committed to the search for knowledge and provision of service excellence.
The School of Therapeutic Sciences offers a range of excellent, innovative and flexible curricula at both under- and post-graduate levels to prepare health professionals for the challenges of the changing demands of health care in Southern Africa. We recruit students from diverse backgrounds, use innovative teaching methods that are culturally sensitive, and assist historically-disadvantaged students. Our graduates are independent, critical thinkers and highly sought after, both nationally and internationally. Our post-graduate programs produce specialist health professionals.
The School attracts, supports and retains a diverse and dynamic staff, committed to education, service excellence and research. They participate actively in the School, Faculty and University activities, contributing at all levels. They are all actively involved in the development of their professions within the Faculty and University as well as within the country as a whole, and work co-operatively as a team to promote the School and to develop a center of excellence of which Wits can be proud.
