We are in the process of not only working on the improvement and development of new catalysts but also the examination of producing fit for purpose catalysts. That is to say designing the catalyst not only for the traditional properties of activity and selectivity but also to consider the eventual reactor design to make use of the catalyst. Our research into catalysts is looking at the application of novel materials such as Gold and Carbon Nanotubes as catalytically active materials and support. The development of newer catalysts that are active at lower temperatures and more selective opens new opportunities for processes that improve on the current best of breed. A |
