Mazibuko water rights case (supported by CALS and the Coalition Against Water Privatisation) High Court application
| Legal challenge over water policy in poor community in Phiri, Soweto. This case was heard between the 3rd and 5th of December 2007 in the Johannesburg High Court. The applicants sought to have prepayment water meters declared unlawful and they also asked the court to order Johannesburg Water to provide everyone in Phiri with a free basic water supply (FBW) of 50 lcd.
