CALS INTERNSHIPS/VOLUNTEERS

Based on experience and interest in human rights, each year CALS hosts a number of unpaid volunteers/interns. Volunteers/interns are placed according to their abilities and interests, as well as our needs. They contribute meaningfully to socio-legal research, paralegal community work and public impact litigation in the fields of socio-economic rights and gender equality.

Specific areas of work include:

  • Basic services (water and electricity)
  • Domestic violence
  • Environmental law
  • Housing and evictions
  • Social security
  • Education
  • Rule of Law

Each year we receive many applications for internship during the popular May to August period. If you are interested in interning for this period, please apply before 15 February. If you are interested in interning/volunteering for a different time of year, please email Tahera Timol (as below)mentioning what kind of work you are interested in (bearing in mind the work we do), how many hours/days/months and for what period you would like to intern.

Please be advised that unfortunately we are unable to pay for internships, which are of a voluntary nature.
