Masters of Commerce in Management and Marketing Information Technology (MMIT) Programme
Eligibility: All applicants for this Masters programme are assessed by the Schools Postgraduate Committee. Applicants are expected to have achieved an average of at least 65% for their Honours degree, which can be in any quantitatively-based field, such as business science, other science, mathematics, statistics or engineering. In addition, applicants must have the equivalent of honours entry-level mathematics and statistics, along with significant background in business, either by coursework or through practical experience. (Foreign applicants should note that they must have their prior degree(s) assessed by the South African Qualifications Authority before making application to the School. Structure of Programme: The MMIT Masters programme is structured as an eighteen-month full-time programme, or a two-year part-time programme. Classes are offered full-time and part-time hours each year in order to cater for part-time candidates.
The programme comprises a research paper (20,000 words maximum) in Management, Information Systems, Marketing or Finance, together with a total of 6 courses - 3 compulsory and 3 electives - as shown below:
