| The Central Records Office is the official repository for the records of the administration, of faculties, departments and other academic units, organisations, clubs and societies, and of persons involved in, or closely associated with, the University. The University Archives, Central and Student Registries are departments of the Central Records Office, which is a division of the Academic Administration Unit responsible to the Registrar.
The Central Records Office is responsible for providing records-keeping advice to university departments, for developing systems for effective control of documents, files and records in all formats, and for implementing information and records management policies, standards, and procedures. This includes responsibility for the survey, inventory, description, appraisal, disposition, and accession of official university records. It covers both records designated for archival retention and records of temporary value. | March against Separate University Education Bill, 22 May 1957 |
