

The Graduate School of Public and Development Management (P&DM) originally opened by Honourable President Nelson Mandela, is considered the leading institution in the arena of public governance, public policy and development management. P&DM works closely with governments and Community Based Organisation (CBO) on the continent, including the various institutions and departments of the South African Government in:
P&DM has a reputation of contributing to the intellectual discourse within the public sector within South Africa and the broader African continent. Many of our graduates are well placed for a successful career in the public sector.
P&DM has, since its inception in 1993, been at the forefront of an international movement to transform public and development management. Today P&DM is the largest producer of postgraduates in the field of public and development in Southern Africa.
P&DM is involved in a range of activities that include postgraduate degrees, executive management development, research and development support. Since its inception, staff have engaged in applied policy research and consulting to support the transformation process.
